I have come to find out in life YOU are in charge of your happiness. This life is way to short for all the petty drama or little things that we let bother us day to day. I am always trying to make others happy and end up not enjoying life like I should. I am sooo learning to let it go!!!!!! My kids will only be little once and I don't want to look back and regret things I did just to make others happy!!!!!! So I found this on facebook the other night and I love it..............my new motto............I am who I am, love it or shove it! :) You have to admit it has a WONDERFUL ring to it! As the Diebolds tell me " You do you and I''ll do me!" Love it!

Just like everyone these days my life is soo busy! This weekend I am in charge of a Free Food Distribution at Central Gardens for area families! I am sooooooooooooooo nervous and want it to go soo good! I have volunteered a couple of times at Poplar Bluff at the Bread Shed, I can tell you it is a very humbling experience. You really don't realize how good you have it until you see others that don't have the basic things such as food! I take for granted every day when I get hungry I just go get something to eat when others around us are eating one meal a day because that is all they can afford or not at all! Every time I have left the Bread Shed I have felt like I am the one that has been blessed not the recipents of the food! So if anyone wants to volunteer or know of anyone that would benefit please send them our way on Saturday. The distribution will start at noon and it usually takes a couple of hours to go thur all the food!

I am in shock that the end of the year is near! This year I became the mother of a TEENAGER..........holy smokes that is just crazy! Shy is loving 8th grade but dreading high school, I just laugh because I know how quick that is going to change! Luke is loving his teacher Mrs Mick this year. Luke is just like his Dad he makes me laugh EVERY day! Lawson well what can I say he is truly the baby! :) He is sooooo excited about Christmas. I love to see his face light up, his eyes just sparkle! I am a very blessed woman.

As typical Blocker fashion Cory and I still need to finish our Christmas shopping.............nothing like waiting until the last weekend to do it! Oh well we work good under pressure! I am just thankful that he will go with me! He must truly love me!

Justin Bieber

On November 8, 2010 we headed to the Justin Bieber Concert in St. Louis at the Keihle Center. It was absolutely awesome getting to do this with my daughter! I will admit I will really not that excited to go until the day of the concert! I can not believe this concert was making my daughter so happy! On the way to the concert she compared Justin to Micheal Jackson............seriously is this really how my daugher feels! Yup she does feel that way.

We were the first ones into the concert! We went with some of our best friends Jo and Hannah Noe! Did I mention that we had VIP tickets and that we got to listen to Justin Bieber's sound check! I dont think I have ever heard Shyann scream like she did at this concert! Hannah and Shy were sooooo HAPPY! It was a once in a lifetime event and I am soooooooooooooooooooo glad that I got to share this with Shy! I hope she never forgets how much fun we had that day together because I know I never will! Believe it or not I am a Justin Bieber fan now! :)

Halloween 2010

We had a WONDERFUL Halloween this year! We had a fallfest at Central Gardens on Sat October 30th and it was a hit! I love to see all my residents enjoying the kids and having fun! I think they enjoy the candy as much as the kiddos! ;) I love pic I got of Cory and his Great Grandma Bambi! She loved seeing all the kiddos, not too many kids get to see their Great Great Grandma on Halloween!

This year Shyann was a Ladybug with Hannah to help me at the fallfest! Luke wanted to be something scary so he was a vampire......did I mention I am a team Edward fan so I was kinda of excited about his choice! Ha! Lawdog was Woody!~ He made the perfect Woody with his little freckles and hair color!

It was great getting to see all my neices and nephews too! We had 2 Buzz Light years (Conner and Kanon), Ava was Jesse, Ady was a cute witch, Kylah was a southern bell and Kelby Lou was a clown! I am a very blessed Aunt! Presley was iron man which he referred to as a robot and Finley was none other than Finley..........he thought dressing up was overrated! ;)

Yesterday was a wonderful eye opening experience for me. I have not been feeling well for the last week or so but worse since Monday. So I headed to see Dr. Jalal mainly with complaints of joint pain mainly in my hands and feet. Not intolerable pain but more like a throbbing that made me feel like my joints were swelling and just uncomfortable. Dr. Jalal hits me with "Let's check for rheumatoid arthritis", okay silently this had been a concern of mine! The nurse in me FREAKED out because this would be a life-changing diagnosis. I immediately thought of everything I wanted to do in my life and had never thought I wouldn't be able to do it on my terms!

I got WONDERFUL news today when my RA factor was NEGATIVE!!!!!!!! I was soo happy to see that on paper but it has changed my outlook. I know people recently that have not been that lucky and are facing a terrible painful road to recovery and my heart breaks for them. I know how I felt all day yesterday so I can't imagine how they must feel! So with that being said I am ready to let go of all the petty crap that happens in life!

I find myself getting so worked up over stuff that will not matter in a year from now! Love the ones that love you and I am going to learn to let it go! I have soo many things in life that make me happy and I am a VERY blessed woman!!!!! I just need to remember EVERY day how blessed I am. I have 3 wonderful heathly kiddos and an awesome husband, great family and wonderful friends! I am blessed with a wonderful church, great job, air condition, clothes, food, clean water and the list goes on! There is always soo much to remember to be thankful for so I am hoping to keep that perspective.

So from here on out I am going to try to remember your life can CHANGE in the blink of an eye! I am very thankful that mine didn't have that big change. Life is short peeps so let's live it the way we want to and like every day could be your last!

A rundown of Summer 2010

I can't believe July is coming to an end rather quickly! We have had a WONDERFUL summer. In June we went to Panama City Beach and it was great as always! We were kinda of scared to head that way due to all the oil in the gulf but it turned out to be as beautiful as always! I am soo glad that we went there again this year because next year it may not be as pretty as it has always been!

Luke turned 8 on July 4th! That is just crazy! He is such a sweet and funny boy! I am very blessed to be his mother! There is not a day goes by that Luke does not make me belly laugh over something he says or if it is his love of music! I love to watch him in my rearview mirror singing and dancing to the music! Absolutely PRICELESS!!!!!!!!

Shyann was in a wreck with 5 of her friends at the end of June! She gave me quite a scare and is VERY lucky to be alive. The Gator flipped and landed on top of her right leg. She has been pretty bruised and swollen for quite some time but we are blessed that is all that happened! I am hoping she learned how fast accidents happen! WOW!!!!!

Shyann has been keeping us busy with volleyball! She loves it soo much and I LOVE to watch her play! She is soo happy when she is on the volleyball court! It makes me happy to be a part of something that her and I both enjoy. I get sooo excited watching her learn new stuff on the volleyball court!

Lawson has LOVED summertime! He loves the water! We have spent many days in the pool. He has not fear once he gets his floaties on! The only bad thing for Lawson is keeping him from getting burned in the sun! Poor white boy! :)

Volleyball time!

We are in full time volleyball time at the Blocker house! Shyann is playing volleyball for Dexter 7th grade volleyball team! SHE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!! She made captain this year! I am soo proud of her! Of course she got it honestly I have always loved volleyball and still play every fall with some of my best friends! She has been coming to my games since she was about 2 weeks old! I don't think there was a doubt that she would enjoy it too if I had anything to do with it!

I can tell you that I enjoy watching her play more than I even enjoy playing myself and that is saying alot because I love it. It is wonderful to watch your daughter play something she LOVES! I am proud and we are gearing up for a all day tournament in Poplar Bluff tomorrow! Go Ladycats! Keep up the great work Shy baby!!!! :)

I am hoping this fall Kelby falls in love with it too! It will be her first season to play for Dexter Parks and Recreation! I will love being able to teach her something that all the chics in my family love! What a wonderful tradition!

How blessed am I ? Very!

Sunday was such a beautiful day! We went to church as a family and then spent the rest of the day outside! Cory took Luke fishing for a few hours with not much luck! I think the horses ran them off at my Dad's but they still enjoyed it! Shy and I headed to the park with Lawson after getting some yummy ice cream! It was nice to be outside and enjoy the wonderful weather with our kids!

I have SPRING FEVER so bad this year!!!!! WOW! Bring on the spring and looking so forward to summer! I plan to spend the majority of it OUTSIDE around the pool! :)

The pics above are from Sunday! I really think the one of Lawson is going to be one of my favorites! I love my new camara lens that my awesome husband got me for Christmas! WOW!!!! I can't wait to get some more good ones! As always leave some comments! Love them! :)

Spring is in the air!

I am truly amazed that tomorrow it will already be March 1, 2010!!!!!!! Wow where does the time go? I am very ready for spring and summer this year more than any other year! I am soo tired of cold weather and ready for fun times with my family outside!

Cory took the kids today fishing while I was at a funeral. Luke caught the first fish and the most, he was soooo excited! Cory loves taking them fishing! It is good to see them have so much fun together plus I love eating what they catch! :)

Shyann turned 13th on February 13th! OMG I am the mother of a teenager! I just can't believe she is growing up so fast! She is truly such a sweet caring girl and I hope she stays that way! Shy made the volleyball team and her first game is March 15, 2010~ I am soo excited to watch her play! It is awesome to watch her because you can tell how much she loves it!

Lawson tells me that him and Luke are "bestfriends" He cracks me up because one minute they are playing so well and the next well do I have to even type it! They are truly bothers and they show that brotherly love ALOT. It is either really good or not so good! I am thinking Lawdog will be one tough cookie! I truly love to hear them tell me out of the blue " Mom, I love you!", it just melts my heart!

I have been spending lots of these cold nights reading several books. I have read the whole black dagger series, Anita blake series etc. I can just get lost in these books. Cory and Luke have PS3 and I have my books! It is such a good stress reliever for me!

I have become very active in our church! I can't tell you how blessed we are to have found the perfect fit in our church, Liberty Hill. I am learning so much and it is truly AWESOME!!!!!!!! I am learning to pray instead of worry! I would LOVE to go on a mission trip but not sure when that will be able to happen in my life! I think it would be soo awesome because I know that I take so much for granted in my life, we are very blessed in our country and don't even realize it!

I have learned that sometimes we get upset over things or people that will never change no matter what we do or don't do! I have learned to pray instead of worrying over situations in my life, some days it is still very hard but it has gotten alot better for me. I never realized how much pray in your life would help me. My biggest prayer is to get my Mom, Cory (brother) and his family to go to church with me too!

I loved this blog! It was soo easy to do! It was inspired my a book that I received at Christmas, it was one of my favorite gifts. I have been starting my day with a prayer of thanks and I am naming 5 things that I am thankful for every day before getting out of bed. It is amazing how much better you feel and I can never stop with just 5! :) I would love some comments! Thank you God for my wonderful life and all the people you have put in it for one reason or another because I do believe everything happens for a reason! You have to learn to dance in the rain before you can enjoy the sunshine! :)

I've come to realize......I am truly married to my bestfriend!

New Year's Resolutions!

At the beginning of every year, I begin to think about the things in my life I would like to change or work on. So here is my list of sorts for my New Year's resolutions

Stay active in church and enjoy more bible studies.
Exercise more! I always enjoy it just have to make time for it.
Scrapbook more! I never take the time for me to do what I want regularly
Get organized at home and work
Enjoy the moment instead of stressing over the small things in life.
Read some really great books!
Learn to edits pics.
Become a more positive person in all aspects of my life.
Lose ten pounds and keep them off! I think I have lost them like 4 different times! ;)
Sponsor a child in Africa.
Enjoy my family and friends every day because we dont know when it is our last.
Take some mini vacations and a big one to the beach of course!
Become a better listener.
Run 2 miles on a regular basis.
Be a good example for my kids, husband and family!!!!!!!!!

Would love to see some comments! I have high hopes for 2010. I don't really think 2009 was my year but it could always be worse. I am very positive in where my life is headed and hoping for great things in the year to come! If anyone is reading this, I love you and wish you the BEST of 2010!

Missing My Grandma Chism

Dec 9th is always a hard day for me! I rememeber and mourn a lady that meant soo much to me! My Grandma Chism was diagnosised with terminal Cancer on this date 6 years ago. There is not a day that I don't want to tell her something! I miss her soo much! She was my rock! You know you have that one person that no matter how bad things are they make you feel loved and better just by being there, well that was her for me! She lost her battle with cancer a month to the day of being diagnosed so every day was a major change after this date.

My Grandma was widowed in her 50's and ran a farm after my Grandpa died. She was the strongest person that I have ever known. She loved to play cards and has pretty much made every Grandchild cry playing because she wouldn't let you win no matter how little you were..........which might be the reason we are all so competitive. She loved to laugh and I miss that the most, hearing her giggle when she was trying to aggravate someone. My whole family thinks I act like her and I take that as the highest compliment. She was one of a kind and I was so BLESSED to have her in my life. She definitely shaped me into the woman I am today.

I would love for her to see Shyann play ball, hear Luke's dry wit, and see Lawson's charm! She would really get a kick out of them! I know she sees them but I would love to see the look on her face or hear what she thinks about them! She was my biggest fan and she would have been for them too! I am thankful that she did not suffer and there are things worse than death but I would love to have just one more day! I had a great month and got to say things that alot of people put off saying to someone they love. She told me "I always knew you loved me and you were so special Stacy always remember that!" I made her a scrapbook of her whole life before she died and she told me it was the most special gift she had ever gotten! I hope and pray that I am the woman she wanted me to be, although I do think she would line me out about certain things in my life. She was never one to mince words much and I wish I would have gotten more of that but maybe in time I will have, haha watch out! :)

I love you and miss you more every day Grandma~! My suggestion to everyone is to tell the ones you love that you love them don't wait, live life to the fullest, and pray every day! If you have someone that is special to you let them know it don't ever assume that they know it!

I can't believe October is almost OVER!!!!!!

Where has fall gone to? I can't believe that October is almost OVER!!!!!! I love fall but this one has had lots of rainy days! Although today was a beautiful day outside! We started our day with the whole family going to church! I was soo happy and it was a great way to start off my week. We have started going to Libery Hill Church and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! I have never felt soo welcomed in a church, it is a wonderful feeling.

We have been busy getting ready for Halloween! We are having a Fall Fest at Central Gardens on Halloween from 2-4 for anyone that would like to come! We have lots of new decorations at the Gardens and it will be soo much fun to see my residents enjoying all the little spooks and witchs that come their way! We are having out annual Halloween party this coming weekend and I always enjoy it! It will be lots of great memories with family and friends! The have their costumes picked out Shy is a punk rocker, Luke is Snake Eyes from GI Joe and Lawdog is going to be Mickey Mouse! Kylah is Minnie Mouse to match..................won't that be soo cute! Cory was not too hip on Mickey Mouse but Lawson loves it! You can only pull that off at 3! :)

Shyann is finishing up volleyball this week and Luke will be done with soccer this month too! Every Saturday this month we have soccer in the am and volleyball after lunch! They have enjoyed it though! Luke played one soccer game in the rain and he said it was the BEST! :) Shyann has also started cheering for basketball for 7th grade! She seems to enjoy it although I think the skirts are shorter than when I was a cheerleader! haha She does lots of flipping which is what she seems to enjoy!

Cory has been crazy busy at work............lots of sickness already going around. I think this year it is just a matter of time before everyone has the flu! I just hope they keep Tamiflu in stock. I am so thankful that he has Brandi there to always help him. I know he really appreciates her!

Well I am setting a new goal for me.......I am going to start taking an hour lunch and goign to the gym! I am not a morning person and if I work out after work, it just never gets to happen something always comes up! So I have to make it work at lunch! Wish me luck! I feel soo much better when I go to the gym regularly just life gets in the way some times! I kniow Cory wants to laugh everytime I come up with these great ideas but he is always supportive! I sometimes even laugh when I come up with them......they sound soo good in theory! LOL! WOW! :)

Writing a Memorial service

There are many things in this life that we don't ever think we will be called upon to do and tonight I am doing one! Tonight I am finalizing my memorial service for Teresa that I will do tomorrow for staff and residents. On September 18th at 2:20 I received a call from a staff member's husband telling me that she had been killed in a car accident! I don't even know what I said to him, it was like my life went into slow motion. I have worked at Central Gardens for over 11 years and never have lost a staff member.

Teresa Crosby had worked at Central Gardens for 13 years this month. Teresa always had a smile no matter what was going on. She was truly a blessing to me, staff and especially my residents. You see I can never remember Teresa complaining about anything.............EVER! She would just kinda laugh, hug me and say "You will figure it out, you always do!" She went about her work with a smile and a gentle nature. She has worked there for 13 years and called in one time. I do remember she missed one day during the terrible ice storm and she was soo upset about having to do that. She was a very sweet, sincere and gracious person and I was blessed to call her my friend! I hope she does know that I loved her even if I didn't tell her that enough!

Teresa worked night shift and when she would get off work, she headed home to sleep a few hours and then up to take care of her two children at home. I never once heard her complain. She absolutely loved the Cardinals, she would fix popcorn and watch the games with her children and her husband told me act like they were there! :) I have a baby blanket that she bought for Luke that was Cardinals. She was always a giver not a taker! What a blessing she was to her family and friends!

So tonight I am thinking about my own attitude about things.........I am disappointed in myself because I have been letting little things steal my joy! I am going back to the person I am meant to be, not the one trying to make people happy that really don't care about me either way! I have let myself get upset and worry over things that I cannot change all you can do is pray!

Teresa and Aaron have shown me that life can be over in one blink of the eye and you better love your family and friends but above all let them know it! I am going to let the ones I care about know it instead of assuming that they know it! I have found that when I am on my knees to pray, that I pray to be the person he wants me to be! So if you are reading this if you are my family or friend...........I love you even if I don't show it sometimes! Just remember when you say those harsh words there is no taking them back and it could be the last time you talk to them, I know I don't want that to happen with anyone ever!

So tonight I will pray that God will give me the words to comfort her family, friends, and my residents tomorrow during her memorial service. So if you are in Dexter and you see Red balloons in the air tomorrow afternoon think of a 46 year old mother, friend, wife and caregiver that was one SPECIAL lady with a beautiful smile! Teresa I love you andI was very blessed to be your friend! You have taught me to live life not watch it from the sidelines!

Busy Busy Blockers! :)

It is busy time at the Blocker house! We have really been enjoying the fall weather that we have been having! Today Cory took down our little pool which Lawson was not happy about! I love this time of year! I have lots of things planned which of course includes our annual Halloween party! :)

Shyann is doing too much which includes School cheerleading, Impact cheerleading and DPR volleyball! WOW! She is such a sweet girl! She only sees the good in others and is such a positive influence in my life even at age 12! I hope she knows how proud she makes me every day!

Luke is in 1st grade! He has already educated his class on Micheal Jackson and Farmtown! Oh MY! He is quite the little character! He cracks me up but I am hoping Mrs. Massey still finds him funny at the end of the year! :) Luke is playing soccer this fall which he is really liking so far!

Lawson aka Lawdog turned 3. He had the big birthday blow out last weekend at the Malden Youth Museum. He loved it! He was one blessed little boy! Although after opening his presents he was ready to go home! He is such a sweet little boy! He told me today " I am so glad you are my best friend Momma!" It about makes me want to cry remembering him say that today! He just makes my heart melt!

Cory is already seeing lots of sick kiddos which includes that nasty flu bug! I am thinking he is going to have a very busy winter too! Central Gardens is rocking and rolling as usual! We are gearing up for the big parade this month! I truly love my job! My residents are the bomb! They make it worthwhile every day! I feel like I am right where God wants me to be!

My life has been an emotional roller coaster lately, I am sure every woman has felt that at one time or another! I am truly trying to be the best wife, mother, daughter, friend, aunt, cousin etc as possible! I am truly blessed with some wonderful people in my life and I just hope that they all know how much I do care about them! I think sometimes things are taken too seriously when in 5 years from now they would not matter! I am not sweating the small stuff anymore because really for the most part it is all small stuff. My family and friends are the best ever! :)

Well I hear the boys yelling for me to watch Ghostbusters again with them! Gotta love it! Leave some comments peeps! :) You know I love them!

What a wonderful weekend!

I truly feel like a blessed woman. We had a great weekend with family and friends! It was a busy one but that is typical for us! I am really trying to learn to not sweat the small stuff!

Friday night I headed out to Dexter Football jamboree. Maggi and I loaded up the kids and off we went! It was great to see lots of people and of course I love football. It was a nice kick off to the weekend! We ended the night with some pizza and lots of good conversation! :) I am glad to have Maggi back in town! The boys seemed to hit it off pretty good so I am loving it!

SaturdayI did the usual cleaning house, playing with the boys, even got a nap in there! Shyann had went camping with her Dad for the night. Sat night I got together with some of my long time friends which included Maggi, Chasity, April, Chantelle, Tracie and Kristi! It was soo nice to see them and hear about what is going on in their life! I hope that we do it again before another 5- 10 years. Life is soo busy but we need to make the time to just do it! It is funny how you can just start right where you left off like you see them all the time! I have missed them more than I realized! Funny thing is that some people read blogs but post no comments! :) My only regret is I did not get a pic of all of us together! Good times! :)

Sunday was Lawson's 3rd birthday! I can't believe it! He is such a sweet little boy and I am soo very blessed to be his Mom. He makes my heart melt when he says I love you more or I love you most! He tells Cory " You are soo punny!" He has grown up over night and I just truly love this age. He thinks his Bubby is the best ever. He does everything he can to be just like Luke! I love to hear them play. Shyann is the best big sis ever too! So needless to say I believe this little boy is very loved and maybe a little spoiled! :)

Gone Fish'n

It's been awhile since my last blog but I've been spending alot of time fishing! This is something I have not done in a long....LONG....time! It is bringing back so many memories of my childhood. My dad and I use to go fishing all the time! I really enjoyed it and spending time with him. We use to fish alot at Duck Creek and at Wappapello and even went to Lake Okeechobee in Flordia for 3 straight winters. I was out of school a week at a time for each trip.....very fun times.

Now it seems life is coming full circle as I spend alot of time with Luke, Lawson, and Shyann trying to catch some fish. We have spent the majority of our time out at Otter Slough but here recently Luke and I have joined Todd for some Duck Creek action.

Luke seems to really enjoy it. He does get bored easily so once they stop biting....he wants to "take a break" ;)

Hope to get the rest of the crew out as much as I have gotten Luke out. Shyann went once with me and did pretty well! Stacy hasn't been since the first or second trip. She really enjoys it too but her life way more busy than mine. Hopefully things will slow down a bit and she can join in on some fun. Lawson....wants to go.....but ends up trying to skip some rocks instead of landing the big one.....and that's o.k. too!

My Mother

This is a pic of Mom and I on Mother's day 2009. I am truly blessed to have such a great, funny, sincere woman as my Mother. I hope that she knows how much I truly love her and what a wonderful Nana she is to all her grandkids. They love going to Nana Hill's. I do believe that Kylah has a bond with my Mom like I did my Grandma! So neat to see it! I love to hear her laugh at them when they are playing or telling me something that was said/done at her house! You know what happens at Nana's stays at Nana's ! :)

This pic is from Relay for Life on July 31st at the park. This is Mom getting on the survivor lap! She is one tough cookie! I look back on Sept of 1997 when she found out she had Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer and I am truly blessed to still have her with us today! She was only 47 and Shyann was only 7 months old! She took 3 different types of chemo every 3 weeks until May of 1998 when she went into remission! Ovarian Cancer is a silent killer and it was not what they were expecting when she had her surgery! WOW God was watching over her then! It is hard to see your Mom get soo sick and wonder every day if this is the last time you will see her or if this chemo treatment will be the last! She made it and I am soo proud of her! I am truly blessed!

So every relay night when we get on the track to walk the survivor lap with her I shed many tears of happiness and empathy for others that are battling or have lost that battle! My family came out in big numbers this year to walk beside her and she feels very blessed too! I love you Mom and I am soo proud of you!

A day at the Lake!

We had such a great time this past Sunday at the lake with the Boyers! It was nice to hang out on such a pretty day with my family and a great friend! It was such a great day and will always bring a smile to my face when I think about it!

Shyann is growing up too fast! She always has time to pose for a quick pic!

My big boy Luke is growing up too quick! He loved the lake and hangin out with Luke Boyer! He jumped in about 300 times off the boat! All I remember hearing is CANNONBALL and then a splash! It was one of the few times I ever remember the water at the lake being chilly!

I really can't believe that the summer of 2009 is flying by soo quick! It will be less than a month and all the kids will be back to school! WOW! We have all enjoyed the summer. Luke has been hanging out at Adyson's almost every day and I ask him often Are you moving in over there? haha He just smiles and says No! It is nice to see your kiddos enjoying things.

Shyann has been gone to church camp this past week and will be home tomorrow! I really can't believe she made it all week! There was only one night she got off the phone crying so I think all in all she had a great time but is ready to come home! She keeps saying I am not going anywhere for awhile haha Yeah right!

Well I guess I will go watch Lilo and Stitch again with Lawson.......it is his flavor of the week!

10 goals for the rest of the year!

I am one of the biggest procrastinators on the planet! I wait until the last minute for everything. My thinking is I work best under pressure....yeah right! I just know exactly how long it will take me to meet a deadline or whatever! Even in the morning I wait until the very last min to get up and get everyone ready instead of getting up a few minutes earlier so I don't have to rush. So here it is in July and I began to think about my New Years resolutions.....they kinda make me giggle to myself! I don't write them down or anything but I know what I had planned for this year! My life really never goes as planned but I am going to write down 10 goals that I plan to reach before the end of the year! I am thinking if I actually write them down or say them outload possibly I will do them! So here it goes! I am kinda nervous lol

Do at least 2 scrapbook layouts a week! This should not be hard considering the amount of pics I take and the fact that my husband made me a scrapbook area in our basement!

Work out on a regular basis no matter what my day brings! I am always using that as an excuse! My job is always going to be stressful so I need to stop using that as an excuse!

Spend quality time with each child one on one every week!

Lose 15 pounds! I can do it but for some reason I lose the same 5 pounds over and over! :)
Learn how to edit pics. I think I would love it if I could ever learn how! Hint Hint Sarah :)
Read the rest of the Anita Blake books................I am sure this is one goal I will meet haha!
Get certified to coach USAV volleyball so I can continue to coach Shyann's team!
Start going to church on a regular basis!
Get Central Gardens website up and running!
Be able to run 2 miles without stopping! I have never thought I would enjoy running but now I think I would. I know I have laughed at Eric running on ice and I don't think I will ever get that serious about it but I am going to try it! You never know maybe I will LOVE it!

I am already starting to think about how I am going to accomplish some of these so maybe this is the jump start I need! I am starting on #4 tomorrow! I plan to have that one in check soon! :) If only I can stay away from my nightly brownie! It is just sooooooo freaking good with a big glass of milk.....................oh well gotta have something!

I smile everytime I look at Lawson because it is like looking at Cory with fat cheeks! :) I am soo jealous. My preganacy with him was soo long and HOT! My looks should have been baked into him! haha But h is my baby boy and he always will be! Lawson was my surprise and what a wonderful gift he is! I think everyone should get a surprise like him in their life. I enjoy everything he does! Lawson is at that sweet age trying to say things and they come out sounding so sweet and not quite right. For instance Mcdonald's french fry will always be known at Guyguys! I even have some friends at work calling them that! Even when he says Crap it is Clap haha So freaking sweet!

Lawson has a personality not like his brother or sister. He is a little bit on the rough side of things! He is not going to take much but then he will turn around and sing Jesus Loves Me. When you tell Lawson you love him you will always get in return "I love you more!" and yes it does make my heart melt! He loves Diego and we watch alot of it! His favorite place to be is in our bed with his blanket watching some DORA DORA as he calls Diego! I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am thankful that God picked me to be the Mother of 3 wonderful kiddos! I can't tell you how blessed I feel! I have learned this week that you never know what tomorrow will bring. I hope and pray my kiddos know how much that they mean to me even on my worst days! :)

I think I will go snuggle and watch some Dora Dora! :)

My little Luke Duke!

Luke is my funny boy! He is just naturally funny alot like Cory only he is funnier! :) He doesn't even try and he will make me laugh so hard. He cuts those blue eyes at me and I sometimes can just know what he is thinking! I can't believe on Saturday my little guy will be 7!!!!!!!!! He is my firecracker and always will be! He is gone right now on his second vacation and we are missing him terrible! I know he is having a blast but we still miss the little guy.

He loves to dance and sing. He tells me sometimes it just hits him and he has to dance! :) He truly has got some moves! He is always the joker and making others happy! I am truly blessed to be his Mother. Luke also loves to tease everyone especially his brother and sister! I think sometimes he is my uncle Bob all over again but then I remember who his dad is! :)

We truly have soo many nicknames such as Luke Duke, Luker, Luke SkyBlocker and of course is favorite is Ricco! One week all he would answer to was Ricco! Never dull with Luke Duke! :)

My little guy is growing up and I am soo proud of him. Happy Birthday in a few days! I love you Luker!

What a lady Shyann is becoming! WOW

I am truly amazed at how much my daughter Shy is changing every day! It is like one day she was a little girl and now she is a little lady. I can not begin to tell you how blessed I am to be her Mother. She is such a sweet, caring little lady! It amazes me every day how "grown up" she actually is.........wise beyond her years! I am thinking this year she will be taller than me and soo weird to imagine that...although happy for her! :)

I look forward to see how much more beautiful she becomes and where her dreams lead her. It won't be long and she will be in high school! WOW! That is just crazy! She is soo busy with cheerleading and volleyball but she always makes time for her family. I hope that never changes! She has two brothers that loved her soo much! Shy is the biggest pleaser I have ever met, she would love to make everyone happy!

I hope she always has that innocent, caring, sweet, compassionate nature that she does. She always sees the BEST in EVERYONE! Even on my worst days...............she brightens them! She is a blessing! I love you Shyann more than words could even begin to explain!

I am starting a new blog thing this week...........each night a blog about someone special in my life. I am excited about it! Everyone try it and leave some comments peeps! :)

Vacation was soooooooooooooo wonderful!

Our vacation was GREAT! We had a wonderful time. OMG the food we had was awesome! I ate way too much but I love the seafood down there. Pier Park was really neat this time.........we were there 2 years ago and it was just beginning! The kids loved it but I think Cory and I liked it pretty good ourselves! I posted a couple of my favorite pics! We always take a pic of the kiddos looking at the ocean and I am amazed at how much they have ALL changed this year! It is kinda sad and amzing all at once. Cory and I both always say that no matter what every year we will take our kids on vacation somewhere because they are gone before you know it!

This year was our first year without the Rogers family in Panama City due to last year we went to another beach with the McGowans. Cory and I had a lot of good times to talk about concerning Aaron and his family. We miss him soo much! There is not a day goes by that we don't say something about him! We had a lot of great time that we both treasure!

Today is Father's day and I am very blessed to have a wonderful husband that is a great Father to all 3 of my kiddos! Thanks Cory for all you do! We LOVE you!

Vacations are the best!

The drive here pretty much sucked! It took forever but it was worth it! The weather has been great so far! Sunday the beach had alot of seaweed but today is pretty much gone. The water has cleared up and it is wonderful! The kiddos are loving it! Lawson was not too sure about it but he has warmed up to it alot! The sun totally wears the kiddos out so they are taking naps now! :) I posted some pics and Shyann in her two piece pretty much makes me realize how quick she is growing up! WOW! Luke and Lawson are too.............u blink and they are grown!

Well back out there to hit the sand to build some sand castles!

My view for the next week!!!!!! I am soo freaking excited!

Well we finally are leaving for vacation in the am at 5 am!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOO I am soo excited! I have had the day off to get prepared and how nice that was! The house is clean so it will be great to come home to a clean house! We delivered Louie to his sitter's house haha , never thought I would have to get a reptile a babysitter! Oh welll never say never!

Luke is sooooo excited about the trip! I think he has talked more about the beach this year than ever! Luke is already missing Ady though! :( Although he already has plans on what to bring back :)

Of course Lawson just repeats everything he says like he remembers doing it too! :) Shyann is excited just wants to be down there! I am soo happy that my Mom is going to get to hand out with all her grandkids for a week! I am sure it is going to be a wild trip. 6 kids and 5 adults! OMG!!!!!! Making some memories. My neices and Sara have never seen the ocean soo I am pumped for them!

I have packed lots of sunscreen for Luke and Lawson haha Now watch I will be the one to get burnt to a crisp! Oh well I can't wait to eat some shrimp and just relax on the beach. I going to try to not think about work for the entire time! Hope everyone has a great week! Cory just found out we have wifi there so I am sure his crops will get tended too! Take care!

I started out my weekend waking up Saturday morning popping my neck out of place. If any of you know me very well u know that I fight with my neck pain quite a bit. So I have laid around all weekend off and on trying to get it better before vacation. So today I broke down and went to the chiropractor! I think he is a life saver! I can already tell a difference so hopefully by the time we leave Sat it will be great.
Okay back to my reason for this blog..........I have been whining around feeling sorry for myself until this afternoon. When u are waiting for an apt alot of time you will sit and talk to others that are waiting. So I have been sitting there for over an hour waiting and this elderly main walks in and sits down. He casually gets out a honeybun and starts to eat it. You can tell he is savoring every bit..........I love those things and was a little jealous :) We look at each smile and make small talk..........a nurse walks in that knows him. I am sitting beside and I hear him say "Well did you hear about me?" She responds" No I haven't" He says very casually "I am dying and I am ready to go today if the good lord would take me!" Basically the doctors told him nothing else to do for him and he is "okay" with that now. My heart just about stopped.

I instantly felt silly for all the complaining I have been doing all week. The nurse tried to make it better but he said several times " No I am dying and this is just how it is!" Can imagine how you would feel if that was you! I sat there and thought long and hard about life because of course I had several hours to think about it while waiting on docs. I thought no wonder he was enjoying his honeybun, he smiled and spoke to everyone like he didnt have a care in the world. He told me he had been blessed in his life and he had nothing to complain about! WOW what an outlook!

I am going to try really hard not to let petty shit bother me like I have in the past. It would be soo nice if everyone had his attitude. Just think of all the things that we let bother us when really will it matter 10 years from now! NO it will not 99% of it won't matter! What will matter was what kind of person, mother, sister, aunt, wife and friend I was! Life is just simply too short to get worked up over silly things. You just never know when some stranger will sit by u and make you thankful for EVERY BLESSING you have in your life.

I am very blessed to be a wife to my best friend, a mother to 3 wonderful kiddos, a sister to a wild brother, an aunt to 6 of the greatest neices and nephews, a caregiver to 57 residents and a loyal friend to many! I hope everyone that knows me has something positive to know about me. What I found in that stranger today was a nice smile and a thankful attitude when he could have just been mad at the world! So tonight I am counting my blessings!

As I am leaving Cape today I meet that little guy as he passes me and he just waves and smiles real big! WOW

Well going to watch a movie with my boys! Remember to count your blessings tonight too!!!!!!

On the count down to Florida!

I am on the count down to heading out to Florida! We leave next Sat morning early for our 10 hour drive to Panama City Beach! We have not been there in 2 years and I am soo excited to go back! I Love SHELL ISLAND! I can't wait to sit on the beach and watch the kiddos play! The white sand and beautiful water is something to see! I could live there........Cory and I dream about that alot. :)

Lawson is really going to love it this year. Our first year there I was pregnant with him and yes I rocked it in my maternity swimming suit! :) The next year he was soo small he really didn't get to enjoy it. Last year we went to Pensacola Beach and it was nice but I like Panama better. It is probably because that was our first family vacation and that is when we became addicted! No matter what we always try to take our kiddos somewhere each year. They grow up too fast and we want to enjoy it all!

Luke and Shyann are super excited too! Luke keeps me on the count down! I love getting all the neat beach photos and of course the wonderful food. I love seafood so I have to enjoy too. My Brother, Sara and their kiddos along with my Mom are going to join us too. I am really excited to get lots of pics of my mom with all her grandkids on the beach. I think those will be priceless. I am sure it will be a wild time with 6 kiddos and 5 adults! I wish Sarah and her crew could go too! We are hoping to take our whole clan to the smokeys this fall with the Kingrees! I am not sure if Luke will make it a week without seeing Ady!

I posted a pic to remind me of how much my kiddos have changed since last year! I am always amazed at how much they grow up in 1 year. It really is amazing and sad all at one time! They say u blink and they grow up on you and I totally believe it!

I can't believe it is 9:45pm and both of my boys are asleep! If you are the type of parent frowning right now thinking that is entirely too late for them to be going to bed well all I can say is you don't live in the real world with the Blockers! :) Our schedule is always a little crazy just the way I like it. I once thought that Luke was bad about going to bed and then came Lawdog! I consider myself lucky if he is asleep before 11. Oh don't shake your head and think it is just the summer schedule getting him to stay up late.........heck no he is like that year round!

One of my good friends always had her girls on a schedule and they were in bed by 7:30 or at the latest 8pm. Good for her but my kiddos don't work like that and I am not even sure I want them too. I have to work and so at night is the only time I get with them so I say if I am up so be they can be too. When school comes around I really crack the whip and they hit the hay by 10pm. Some of you reading this may not agree with my parenting but well I guess just don't worry about it! LMAO Just kidding. So for tonight I have actually had time to blog and get some things done around the house! I might even get to read a few chapters in my book without having to reread some of it while answering Lawson questions or breaking up a fight or two or three! :)

Of course being that pretty much my whole house is made up of night owls you can only imagine how we are in the morning! :) It is pretty quiet here and none of us are too happy first thing in the am. I have tried to be that happy morning person well let's just say that didn't work too well for me! Try me about 10ish and I am good to go

Well going to get to that book! It is soo quiet here and I am not sure if I like it! Good night! Of course I had to show some pics of those boys in dream land! Sweet dreams sweet boys! PS Shyann is still up with me! Cory is probably farming! :)

By the way both pics were taken in my room of course..............does anyone sleep in their own room! Yeah right but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Tonight was Luke's first coach pitch baseball game! He did GREAT! Luke only batted once but it was a good hit! I am going to try and post a video of it too! He is such a lucky boy to have soo many fans so up to his first game! We have the best famiy! I am a very blessed woman! It was soo great to hang out with ALL my neices and 2 nephews. It is always wild trying to keep up with them all............I don't see how Kate does it! :)

Cousins are the absolute best! My kiddos are blessed to have some close ones! I hope that they all become the best of friends! Luke and Ady are soo close it is awesome to see! Kylah, Ava and Lawdog all seem to have that same personality! Thank God Shyann is like a little mother to them ALL! She helps all of us soo much!

I am pretty sure that a few of our kids did manage to eat some nice rocks. It is nice to eat a sucker and then play in the gravel.........makes for a nice mustache! I think the mustache award would go to Conner!

It was a nice cool night and I am sure there will not be many of them. I look for most of the games to be hot, humid with a nice swarm of mosquitos! EECK I am just thankful for one nice night in Southeast MO!

Memorial Day reflections

We had a fun weekend! Sarah and I hit the memorial day yard sale and I give it a thumbs down! Either we were late or something because didn't find much we could live without! Oh well it was the experience right? Ha!

Adyson spent the night with us on Sat night and we had soomuch fun. They played on the slip and slide, went to watch Night at the Museum 2, made smores, and caught lightening bugs! If the weather would cooperate with all the plans I had it would have been better but the kiddos had a blast! Luke and Ady are connected at the hip! He was soooooooooooo happy to have her here and Lawson tried his hardest to keep up with them.

Sunday we didn't do much but Luke managed to keep his little butt with Ady so he spent the night there. Shyann went to spend the night with Madison so it just left Lawdogg to hang out with Cory and I. I finished another book and bought 2 more! Just wondering if I am addicted........surely not! No way just because I am reading about 2 every week in this series...........no way! :)

Today is Memorial day! Lawson and I went and had lunch with my Mom! Shyann is heading to the pool with Maddie and of course Luke is still hanging with Adyson. Lawson and I currently watching Alvin & the chipmunks for the 5th time this weekend! :) Cory has gone to golf with the guys so I have a little time to reflect on Memorial day!

Memorial day is a time you think of the sacrafices many have done for our country and loved ones you have lost! I always think of my Grandma! I loved her soo much. Her house was the one place that no matter how bad things were you ALWAYS felt better being there because you were loved no matter what! There is not a day that goes by that I do not want to tell her something even if it is something funny the kids have done. She would have really gotten a kick out of Luke's dry humor and of course how much he acts like my uncle Bob. I was very blessed to have her as my Grandma, bestfriend and above all my hero. It is weird to see pics of her when she was my age and Lawson tell me that it is me! My whole family says I act and look like her more than any of them and I take that as the highest compliement! I miss you Grandma more than anyone knows.

Cory and I lost one of our closest friends 13 months ago today! There is not a day goes by that I don't think about Aaron and all the fun times we had with him. He was truly one of a kind and it was never dull to be around him. I watch Mackinlee and Blair and I know how proud he is of them and how blessed they were for him to be there father. I can't see a Fedex Trunk and it not bring tears to my eyes.............We miss you so much. Even to this day if Mac and Shy are playing a sport when either have done something good or wrong I still find myself looking for him in the crowd so we can give each other that look and/or just smile and shake our head! He was always the life of the party and a wonderful friend to us! Gone but never forgotten!

Life is precious and none of us know how long we are here! Love your family and friends, forgive and Live it to the fullest! I am trying hard these days not to sweat the small stuff and just live my life! :) Much Love

I believe that everyone I talk to is completely ready for summer this year! I think I am more excited about this summer than I have been in a long time. We have soo many things that we are wanting to do. Of course vacation is on the top of the list. The Blocker gang is heading to Panama City beach again in the middle of June!!!! I am soo excited! Luke has been on the count down for the last couple of weeks!

Luke and Shyann will be finishing up school this Friday. I think Luke has had a little schoolitis! He is soo excited about this summer. He is playing coach pitch baseball and seems to be really enjoying it this year. Shyann made 7th grade cheerleading.......woohoo. I really can't believe that she is old enough to do that but life seems to fly by! Lawson just goes with the flow! His big goal is to use the big boy potty oh wait maybe that is my goal for him!!!

The last couple of weekends we have got to hang out with our family more and I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed it! Luke is going to be going to his Aunt Sarah's alot this summer which I REALLY appreciate her for that! He is soo excited. I truly believe that Adyson and Luke have a connection like no other! It just about brings tears to my eyes to hear him talk about her or how his face lights up when he sees her! Damn hormones! :)

I have so many things I want to do this summer let me give you a run down of my list:

1. Vacation

2. Be in the sun as much as possible

3. Go to Sam A Baker several times

4. Six Flags/ St. Louis Trip

5. Cardinal ball game

6. Kentucky Lake

7. Coach some volleyball

8. Enjoy my kiddos/family and friends as much as possible!!!!!

9. Read as many books as possible!

10. Use as much vacation time as I can squeeze in!

11. Eat Popsciles with Lawson everyday

12. Celebrate Luke's 7th birthday! OMG how time flys!

I really think my list could go on and on! Well I better email Sarah and let her know I actually blogged and had to create a new one since I messed the other one up soo badly!!!!!!! LMAO What can I say computer skills is not my strong point! :) I did actually add a pic though not sure if I can do it again but hey there is one on there!
